The visit of the top officials of the companies of the TM member countries to the Xi’an cargo terminal was organized to strengthen international cooperation
A working meeting of the leadership of the Kazakh and Chinese railways was held in Xi’an (China). It was noted that the interaction of the railway systems of the two countries is strategic for the development of economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and China.
In recent years, there has been a steady increase in the volume of cargo transportation between Kazakhstan and China. In 2023, traffic volumes reached a record 28.3 million tons.
Special attention was paid to the issues of ensuring stable passage of the growing freight traffic along the TMTM route, to improve the quality of data exchange between KTZ and KZhD in international traffic, to ensure safe and stable running of container trains on a through schedule.
It was also stressed that in the next two years, KTZ and KZhD will complete major infrastructure projects that will significantly increase the capacity and volume of traffic.
In general, following the meeting, both sides expressed confidence in further joint strengthening of stable transportation growth.
