KTZ will build 9 terminals by 2027
To develop the transit capacity of the country KTZ accelerates the development of the terminal network. This allows increasing cargo volumes and, most importantly, guaranteeing stability of transportation prices.
The company currently uses 5 terminals, including China’s largest dry port in Xi’an, where 40% of the cargo from the total volume of container trains is generated. In 2025, it is planned to complete the construction of 5 more terminals, and 4 terminals in 2026.
Thanks to the decisions taken on the accelerated development of transit infrastructure, cargo traffic increases annually.
Container transit traffic has increased by 30% over 3 years — from 1 million in 2021 to 1.3 million TEU according to estimates for 2024. Transportation along the TITR has increased 25 times.
