«KEDENTRANSSERVICE» JSC and «FININVEST» Group of Companies will build a MULTIMODAL TRANSPORT-LOGISTIC CENTER in Astana.

«The preliminary capacity of the project is 300 thousand TEU. The implementation period is about a year and a half» a representative of the Russian company told Gudk.

The development of modern terminal infrastructure will give an additional impetus to transit transportation of the two countries, will contribute to the build-up of containerized cargo flows along international corridors, as well as increase non-resource non-energy exports from the Russian Federation, Fininvest said. The project will increase the transit of Russian cargo through Kazakhstan, KTZ said.

«The Astana TLC, due to its geographical location, can be used not only as part of the infrastructure of the North-South ITC, but also for other routes in Kazakhstan» Natalia Zadonskaya, head of the department of foreign projects and international cooperation at the Autonomous Nonprofit Organization Directorate of International Transport Corridors, told Gudk.
