Employees of a major logistics terminal operator, «Kedentransservice» JSC are actively taking part in social and health improvement projects:
— Volunteer movement — «28 Hinges» Club;
— volleyball, tennis, football and chess spartakiads.
On the participation of employees in the volunteer movement «28 Hinges Club». This volunteer movement was founded in 2012. The Club members knit warm wool clothes and donate them to neonatology departments. Early-born babies with extremely low body weight need to keep warm from the first seconds of their lives. Because of its composition, wool not only warms up, but also affects the nerve endings on the child’s skin and stimulates blood circulation, which helps babies to recover their strength and health. That is why, besides medical care and keeping the optimal temperature in the couvette, premature babies need tiny woolen things — socks, hats, waistcoats and plaids.
It is worth noting that every year on November 17, World Prematurity Day is celebrated around the world. World Prematurity Day was established in 2009 by EFCNI, the European Foundation for Newborn Care.
The » 28 Hinges» club is a unique project in its essence, because tiny things knitted from 100% wool are not sold in shops. People wishing to help premature babies do not necessarily need to be able to knit. It is possible to give them yarn, which will be used to bind sets of clothes that save the lives of tiny babies. In 2017, the «28 Hinges Club» won the «Altyn zhurek» national award in the category «For contribution to healthcare».
Nowadays the Club operates in 11 countries of the world and has more than 2500 participants. It is encouraging that the employees of «Kedentransservice» JSC also actively participate in the work of the capital club.
Volunteering is, first of all, a call of the heart.
Through doing good things, we ourselves become better.
