A container train was sent from Xi’an cargo terminal on the route Xi’an (PRC) — Altynkol exp. (Kazakhstan) — Jizzak (Uzbekistan)
30 June this year under the auspices of the joint venture LLC «China-Kazakhstan Trade and Logistics Company» from Xi’an (PRC) shipped a container train with cargo for the production of cars BYD Uzbekistan Factory.
The train consisting of 50 units of forty-foot containers with automotive spare parts was sent along the route Xi’an (PRC) — Altynkol Exp. (Kazakhstan) — Jizzak (Uzbekistan). Having overcome the above-mentioned route, the container train will open new ways for economic interaction between the countries, which in turn will provide a stable cargo flow and will have a positive multiplier effect for Kazakhstan to become the main transit hub in the region.
The Kazakhstan-China terminal in Xi’an is indeed an important strategic project. It includes China’s largest dry port, which plays a key role in logistics and cargo transport between Kazakhstan and China. This terminal forms up to 40 per cent of the total volume of container trains travelling to Kazakhstan. This year, 6,892 TEU or 70 CPs are scheduled to be shipped through the infrastructure of the Kazakhstan-China terminal in Xi’an.
