The projects of Kedentransservice have been recognized with the prestigious Eurasian Transport and Logistics Award in two nominations at once

19.12.2024

The projects of JSC «Kedentransservice» were honored with the Eurasian Transport and Logistics Award «Magistral Awards»-2024 in two categories: «Best Project of the Year» and «Successful Start.»
The transport and logistics center in the city of Xi’an was named «Best Project of the Year.» Built in a record-breaking short time, the terminal has become the main logistics hub in a cargo-generating region of China, consolidating freight from all regions of the PRC and key international routes.
With a designed capacity of approximately 133,000 TEU (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units) per year, the transport and logistics center has enabled the formation of rail and road shipments toward Central Asia, the countries of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), and Russia, significantly reducing cargo delivery times and providing transport and logistics services based on the «last mile» principle.
The primary shippers in the region are manufacturers of automobiles and their components, electronic equipment and machinery, metal products, and consolidated cargo.
Since the terminal’s opening, approximately 23,000 TEU have been processed, with plans to increase this figure to 83,000 TEU per year by 2030.
The award in the «Successful Start» category was received by JSC «Kedentransservice» for its project to create an intermodal freight terminal at the maritime port of Alyat (Azerbaijan).
On November 12 of this year, in Baku, as part of the 29th UN Climate Change Conference (COP 29), JSC «NC KTZ» (Kazakhstan Temir Zholy), together with its partners, successfully launched the project by signing an Agreement on its implementation.
The new terminal complex, covering an area of 5 hectares and with a designed capacity of over 1.5 million tons per year, includes the construction of a universal cargo platform, a covered warehouse complex with an area of 5,000 square meters, and a container yard capable of accommodating more than 1,000 containers.
The implementation of this project will optimize processes, increase transportation volumes, and create a unified transport platform connecting the leading transport and logistics hubs of China, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan.
